Latest Manitowoc cranes and new Potain dealer for Belgium NEREMAT showcased at Matexpo 2013

10/18/2013 Kortrijk, Belgium

A selection of Grove mobile cranes and Potain tower cranes were displayed by two of Manitowoc’s local dealers at Matexpo 2013 in Kortrijk, Belgium, earlier this month. The dealers were long-standing partner Belgium Lifting & Equipment (BLE) and newly appointed NEREMAT, which was introduced at the event as the new dealer for Potain top-slewing cranes in Belgium.

BLE displayed a selection of Grove all-terrain and rough-terrain cranes, as well as four self-erecting Potain cranes at Matexpo 2013. But the biggest attraction on the BLE stand was the new 1.8 t capacity Igo M 14 self-erecting tower crane, as Paul Spaepen, general manager at BLE, explains:

“The Igo M 14 offers class-leading lift height and one of the easiest set up procedures in the industry,” he says. “Many people were impressed with the crane and we are confident it will be a popular addition to Potain’s self-erecting range.”

In addition to the Igo M 14 on BLE’s stand, a 100 t capacity GMK4100L all-terrain crane and a 45 t capacity RT550E rough-terrain crane lined up with an Igo 21, Igo 22 and Igo 36 self-erecting crane.

On its side, NEREMAT displayed a Potain MDT 218 top-slewing tower crane standing at a height of 40 m on its stand at Matexpo. Established in 1985, NEREMAT specializes in the sale, rental and service of tower cranes. The company’s 50-person staff operates through three offices across Belgium.

Further to the fair, NEREMAT has become the official and exclusive distribution partner for Potain top-slewing tower cranes Belgium. The company will further develop Potain’s presence in Belgium through crane rental, distribution and service.

“BLE and NEREMAT have the experience and expertise to deliver first-class sales and service to customers throughout Belgium and the local region,” says Christophe Simoncelli, VP sales Western Europe at Manitowoc, who attended Matexpo 2013. “Both are highly regarded brands and we are confident that they will help to expand our regional presence even further.”

All of the Manitowoc cranes displayed at Matexpo are now travelling to jobsites or to customers in the Benelux region, apart from the Igo M 14, which will soon be on its way to the next trade show.
