Manitowoc focuses on improved productivity

1/20/10 Munich, Germany

New cranes, technology and innovation will highlight the Manitowoc booth when it exhibits at bauma 2010. The Manitowoc booth (Number 1002/6 in the outside area) will occupy 1,350 m2 with a variety of new cranes and technology taking center stage. This year’s show will run April 19 –25 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany.

Philippe Cohet, executive vice president of Manitowoc in EMEA, said the company’s strength is on show at bauma 2010.

“We will talk to customers about the strength we have – literally – as a company,” he said. “We have new cranes entering the market from our Grove range of mobile cranes with excellent lifting power, especially at height. We have new Potain tower cranes plus new hoisting technology that will offer unprecedented productivity. Our message to customers is simple – with Manitowoc you can do more.”

Manitowoc will exhibit a selection of cranes on its booth and is expecting high levels of interest in the latest launches from its Grove and Potain brands, plus the new winch technology it is introducing. Also on the Manitowoc stand will be information and staff from Manitowoc Crane Care, the customer service brand, and Manitowoc Finance, the finance brand.

In addition, CraneSTAR, Manitowoc’s telematics-based asset management system, will be available for demonstration at bauma 2010. Manitowoc launched the leading-edge technology last year and is strategically introducing the system for new products of all Manitowoc brands.
