In 2008, Manitowoc Cranes teamed up with the Orange County Choppers of the TLC Cable television program American Chopper to build a 750 lb., crane-inspired chopper that was delivered by the Teutul’s to Manitowoc’s booth at the CONEXPO 2008 tradeshow in Las Vegas. The nine-foot bike took more than 175 hours to build and with special features such as a lattice boom with hook backrest, joystick handlebars, steel wire enclosed rims and a special gas tank – this bike is truly unique.

To check Manitowoc Chopper availability, click on the “Schedule Calendar” link along the top menu bar and navigate the calendar to review desired dates.
To reserve the Manitowoc Chopper, click the “Submit Request” button on the Home or Information pages and send a request form to Manitowoc. Manitowoc asks that all requests for the bike are made no later than 15 days before the desired arrival date.
Manitowoc will respond, with rental information and a rental cost estimate.

As with other rental property, chopper rentals require a signed User Agreement. Download the Manitowoc Chopper User Agreement

Other included items are:

• 50 promotional hats
• 50 promotional t-shirts

All items must be returned in original condition, except the hats and t-shirts. If additional items are required, please include these in the rental request form and attempts to accommodate them will be made.

The contract will include an estimated cost of rental; however, actual costs will be billed after the event.

Manitowoc will coordinate the transportation of the bike with its authorized hauler. The contact person for the event will be notified with the transportation information and is required to be present during the receipt and departure of the bike.

Under no circumstances should the Manitowoc Chopper be ridden, on- or off-road. The bike is for promotional and marketing purposes only.

The bike should be displayed as an exhibit. Included in the rental package are stanchions, ropes and carpeting. The bike should be placed on the carpet and the stanchions and ropes should be set up around the perimeter of the bike for best display. Manitowoc requires that no one touch or sit on the bike.

When the bike is not in use, it should be stored in a secured area. Damages or missing parts to the bike need to be reported and will result in additional event costs. If damaged, Manitowoc asks that no repairs are made to the bike.

Unless approved by Manitowoc, the bike is to remain at the location specified in the agreement.

The Manitowoc Chopper is available for the use of Manitowoc Cranes dealers, customers and other business constituents. Manitowoc reserves the right to accept or decline any submitted rental requests.
