Martin van Riel, CEO and owner of M.J. van Riel, said he is excited to take delivery of the new crane after Intermat. “I have been running and operating cranes for the past 20 years and this GCK3045 is a perfect crane,” he said. “The best feature is its size. It is just 3 m high so we can get it into all kinds of places. It’s also shorter than similar cranes which is another advantage.” The GCK3045 has a 45 t maximum capacity and a 34 m boom. It also has a smooth running lower works which offers road speeds of up to 80 km/h, for swift movement between job sites, and features such as crab and cramp steering, for better on-site maneuverability. The GCK3045 offers excellent opportunities in machinery moving operations at factory locations, said Martin van Riel. “We are already doing a lot of indoor work at factories and this new crane will help us do a lot more,” he said. “With its compact dimensions plus its excellent pick and carry capability we will be able to do more for our customers than with other cranes. Because it has a single cab there is great visibility all around, plus there are cameras to give the operator a perfect view of what’s happening around the crane.” The GCK3045 offers a number of innovations that make it a uniquely advanced and flexible crane:
This attention to detail helped convince Martin van Riel that the GCK3045 would be a profitable addition to his crane fleet. “It’s a beautiful crane, just perfect,” he said. “I could see us adding more of these GCK3045 cranes to our fleet.
