BLE appointed dealer for Potain self-erecting cranes in Belgium
Manitowoc has appointed BLE as the dealer for its line of Potain self-erecting cranes in Belgium. The company is already the dealer for Grove mobile cranes in the country. The new arrangement began in July and BLE staged two customer days in September to formally introduce the product line.
Paul Spaepen, general manager of BLE, said he was impressed with the Potain line of products. “The Potain line of self-erecting cranes is at the top of the market,” he said. “The level of technology incorporated into their design puts them ahead of anything else. They also put a strong emphasis on safety both in their products and their practices in the workplace, which is important to us and our customers.” BLE believes several Potain self-erecting cranes are well-suited to the Belgian market. First is the Igo MC 13, a 1.8 t capacity crane with a 22 m jib. Other cranes highlighted by the company include the Igo 18 and Igo 22 models (both 1.8 t capacity cranes with 24 m and 28 m jibs respectively); the Igo 42 with a 4 t maximum capacity and a 36 m jib; and the Igo T 70 and Igo T 85 cranes. Both these models can telescope their masts for greater working height. The Igo T 70 has a 4 t maximum capacity and the Igo T 85 has a 6 t maximum.
