Brian Peretin has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for National Crane. In his new role, he will be responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing for the National Crane line of boom trucks. He will continue to develop the company’s market-leading position in the Americas and will also consult on growing Manitowoc’s business in Latin America.
He reports to Dave Birkhauser, Manitowoc’s senior vice president of sales for the Americas, who says Peretin’s role will be to continue strengthening National Crane’s presence in the industry.
“We are looking to Brian to continue the good work at National Crane, which leads the industry in boom truck innovation and productivity,” he said. “The brand has a great legacy and a very loyal customer base and it is our job to ensure we keep working hard to meet customer expectations.”
Peretin replaces John Lukow, who now serves as managing director of Manitowoc’s operations Australia and New Zealand. Prior to taking up his latest position, Peretin was sales manager for Potain tower cranes and self-erecting cranes in North America. During his time there he established a successful regional sales team and grew the North American dealer network.
Since starting out in the crane industry in 1993, Peretin has worked in a number of roles including marketing product specialist for all-terrain cranes, district manager for Grove and parts manager. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He will continue to reside in Hagerstown with his wife Jessica and their two children, Alex and Anna
