Manitowoc is honored with equipment industry marketing award

MANITOWOC, WIS. — The cranes division of Manitowoc has received an award in the annual “Measures of Success” marketing awards program conducted by the Publications in Construction and Agriculture subgroup of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. Awards were presented during a ceremony at the recent AEM Marketing Council Seminar in Portland, Ore.
The award was presented to Manitowoc for product literature in the member sales category for manufacturers with sales of over $50 million. The second-place award recognized the Manitowoc merchandise catalog, which featured promotional merchandise for owners and operators of Manitowoc equipment.
Accepting the marketing award from Manitowoc were Tom Cioni, director, global marketing communications; and Amanda Barbarossa, marketing communications manager.
“This catalog was about promoting the Manitowoc brand and getting our logo-branded gear into the hands of crane operators and enthusiasts in a fun way,” Barbarossa, the catalog project manager, said. “We tried to create a Manitowoc story and lifestyle experience with this catalog and we’re very pleased at its response. We’re honored to receive this marketing award and recognition by our peers.”
AEM-PICA awards recognize excellence for off-road equipment industry marketing communications and honor outstanding industry efforts as an educational example of “best practices.” The awards also aim to promote to a wider audience the important role that marketing communications plays in a company’s business success. Entries are judged by a panel of business-to-business agencies, industrial marketers, university marketing communications professors and PICA publishers.
