Manitowoc names new regional sales manager in UK
Manitowoc has announced the appointment of Julian Elms as regional sales manager for Grove mobile cranes covering southern England, Wales and Ireland. His position became effective January 2, 2008 and he reports to Steve Barnett, direct manager.
Speaking about the appointment, Barnett said, Elms’ industry experience will be an asset to Manitowoc’s organization in the UK.
“Julian has a good understanding of the industry in general and the mobile crane product in particular,” he said. “He is well known and respected among our customer base and will enhance our growing reputation. We welcome him to the UK organization.”
Prior to joining Manitowoc, Elms spent nine years in a similar sales managerial position with an industry competitor, so he already brings extensive knowledge and experience of the region and the market he is servicing for Manitowoc. He takes over from Ross Wilson, who is retiring.
