Manitowoc Crane CARE showcases industry leading customer support at Intermat
2006
Manitowoc Crane CARE reinforced its industry leadership at Intermat 2006 by
displaying a number of new programs that differentiate Manitowoc Crane Group’s
customer support initiatives.
Manitowoc Crane CARE displayed each of its four cornerstones at Intermat 2006.
They include spare parts, maintenance, training and technical documentation.
There were also a number of demonstrations and new products showcasing all
aspects of Manitowoc Crane CARE’s services, as well as staff representing the
entire EMEA region.
Overseeing the division’s presence at Intermat 2006, was Thibaut Le Besnerais,
general manager for Manitowoc Crane CARE’s EMEA region.
“Since we were last at Intermat in 2003, we have completely transformed our
business and consolidated our processes and procedures,” he said. “We are now
offering more support services than ever before. We have the best trained
staff in the business and are expanding rapidly as more and more people
realize that Manitowoc Crane CARE is more than just a spare parts supplier –
it’s a total after-market solution for getting the most from your Manitowoc
Crane Group product.”
Among the new products from Manitowoc Crane CARE at Intermat was a camera
designed for mounting on tower cranes. Potain mounted the camera on one of the
tower cranes on the stand and allowed visitors to control and operate the
camera from inside the booth. Also displayed in the booth was a selection of
spare parts and branded consumables. A Manitowoc Crane CARE service van was
also present. Among other show promotions, visitors were able to win a mobile
crane reversing camera.
Manitowoc Crane CARE is now a multi-million dollar business unit of Manitowoc
Crane Group with 750 employees working in three regions at 250 locations. In
the EMEA region, Manitowoc Crane CARE has over 500 personnel, with over 120
working in spare parts, 300 working in service, and 50 working in technical
publications and training.
