Manitowoc Crane Group Renews Support Deal with Sam Walker
Manitowoc Crane CARE will continue its long-term partnership supporting Grove
products in the UK, announced Thibaut Le Besnerais, director of Manitowoc
Crane CARE’s Europe, Middle-East and Africa Region. Manitowoc Crane CARE is
the customer service organization that coordinates worldwide parts and service
support for Manitowoc Crane Group products, which includes Manitowoc Cranes,
Potain, and Grove.
The UK-based Sam Walker organization has had a
strong association with Grove cranes for 30 years, providing field service,
repairs, parts, and technical support. Operating from two service centers – in
Glasgow and Manchester – the Sam Walker organization has a service team of 30
service engineers, 15 of whom are dedicated to Grove products.
“We
have one of the largest, most experienced and best-equipped crane service
teams in the UK,” Walker said. “Our technicians are fully-trained and equipped
with laptops for plug-in fault diagnosis, and backed by parts warehouses,
repair workshops, and training facilities.”
Manitowoc Cranes
and Potain cranes in the UK are supported by MCG’s UK central office, based in
Uxbridge, where the company has five field service technicians and a parts
warehouse.
“In the UK, Sam Walker has given consistent and dependable
support for Grove over many years, and so we have confidence in extending and
building on that partnership for the future,” said Le Besnerais.
